Answer:

Weather - I’m surprised to see that the weather was becoming warmer.

Whether - Whether we want to admit it or not, we all wish everyone would like us.

Affect - An early frost in Florida can affect the orange crop negatively.

Effect - The effect of the medicine on her illness was surprisingly fast.

Accept - They offered him a job, & he accepted.

Except - Everything was in good order except the boots

Explanation:

Weather is primarily used as a noun. It is the state of the atmosphere in a particular place e.g., rain, sunshine, snow and so on. Whether is a conjunction. It is mostly used to introduce a clause and express a doubt or choice between alternatives.

Affect and effect are easy to mix up. Here's the short version of how to use affect vs. effect. Affect is usually a verb, and it means to impact or change. Effect is usually a noun, an effect is the result of a change.

Accept means to agree or to receive something offered. Except means excluding or with the exception of. The ex- of except can help you to remember that it means excluding.

True or False? W.D. Wetherell’s story “The Bass, the River, and Sheila Mant” and Gary Soto’s poem “Oranges” both use first-perso
stich3 [128]

True

First-person point of view is when the narrator is a character within the story. A primary indicator that a written work is in first-person point of view is the use of first-person pronouns: I, me, my, myself. Wetherell's story "The Bass, the River, and Sheila Mant" starts off "There was a summer in my life when the only creature that seemed lovelier to me than a largemouth bass was Sheila Mant. I was fourteen." Since this is narration and not dialogue, we know that the narrator is a character within the story. Gary Soto's "Oranges" begins "The first time I walked/With a girl, I was twelve". This narration uses the word "I" which shows that it is in first-person point of view.

Will mark brainliest!
leonid [27]
I would say arriving to class right before the test is the answer. You should arrive to class before it starts so you can ask questions, get yourself prepared, and calm down before your test. Arriving just as it starts means your rushing, and can therefore not prepare yourself for the big test. I hope this helps!
