Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us Assume That, her saving at the end of first month is Rs.x .

Now, in Next Month his saving is 5% greater than the previous month’s total saving .

So,

→ Yui , Saving after End of second Month = Previous Month Saving + (5% of Previous Month Saving) = x + (5 % of x ) = x + (5*x/100) = x + 0.05x = 1.05x.

So, Yui Salary is 1.05 times of Previous Month salary.

Now, Lets Check Further also ,

→ Saving after End of Second Month = 1.05x .

→ Saving after end of Third month = Saving after end of second month + (5% of Saving after end of second month) = 1.05x + (5% of 1.05x)

= 1.05x + [ ( 5 * 1.05x)/100 ]

= 1.05x + 0.05 * 1.05x

= 1.05x ( 1 + 0.05)

= 1.05x * 1.05.

Hence, we can conclude That, Each month we have to multiply the previous amount with 1.05...

How do i solve 5x+3y=-10 & 3x+5y=-6
Gre4nikov [31]
Solve it using elimination method:

5x+3y=-10
3x+5y=-6

Essentially what you would want to do is eliminate a variable so you have to multiply the two equations so that the two “y”s cancel each other out. You do this by multiplying one by a negative number and the other one a positive number. Doesn’t matter what number you multiply the number with; however, both numbers need to be the same distance away from zero. Also, if you’re going to multiply one term, then all the terms will need to be multiplied.

-5(5x+3y)=-10
3(3x+5y)=-6

Distribute and Multiply:
-25x-15y=50
9x+15y=-18

Now add the two equations by adding the x’s together, y’s, and the total.

The y’s end up canceling each other.

-16x=32

Divide:

X=-2

Now that you have “X” substitute x from one of the equations from the beginning. You may do two for checking answers.

3(-2)+5y=-6

-6+5y=-6

5y=0

Y=0

The answer is:
x=-2
y=0

(-2,0)

Answer:

a) 90 stamps

b) 108 stamps

c) 333 stamps

Step-by-step explanation:

Whenever you have ratios, just treat them like you would a fraction! For example, a ratio of 1:2 can also look like 1/2!

In this context, you have a ratio of 1:1.5 that represents the ratio of Canadian stamps to stamps from the rest of the world. You can set up two fractions and set them equal to each other in order to solve for the unknown number of Canadian stamps. 1/1.5 is representative of Canada/rest of world. So is x/135, because you are solving for the actual number of Canadian stamps and you already know how many stamps you have from the rest of the world. Set 1/1.5 equal to x/135, and solve for x by cross multiplying. You'll end up with 90.

Solve using the same method for the US! This will look like 1.2/1.5 = x/135. Solve for x, and get 108!

Now, simply add all your stamps together: 90 + 108 + 135. This gets you a total of 333 stamps!
