Answer:

Explanation:

Prejudice in Canada dates back to the beginnings of its settlement. It can be seen in the relations between Indigenous peoples and European colonizers that arose in the 17th and 18th centuries (see Slavery of Indigenous People in Canada). The European view of Indigenous peoples was complex and ambivalent, ranging from seeing them as "noble savages" to considering them soulless barbarians. While there were significant differences in Indigenous-French and British-Indigenous relations in pre-Confederation Canada, in both cases the economic interests of the fur trade helped to cement a tolerable working relationship between the colonizers and Indigenous peoples (see Indigenous Peoples: Treaties). The large-scale settlement, however, led to deterioration in relations as Indigenous peoples became perceived as an impediment rather than an aid to economic development.

As a result of early European settlement and the subsequent British Conquest in 1759-60, as well as the geographical isolation of Indigenous populations, Indigenous-European relations gradually became less important than the relations between the colonizing powers. The economic, political, social, and religious cooperation and rivalries between British and French settlers shaped much of Canada's development from the 1750s to the present. Prejudice and discrimination existed on both sides. Because the two groups shared a technologically-based Western culture, the nature of their relationship and the kinds of prejudice and discrimination that characterized it were considerably different from those that characterized Indigenous-settler relations.

How do you think fighting a two front war will go for Germany? Will they be successful? Will it be disastrous? Explain.
Nataliya [291]

Answer:

I think it will be disastrous. A two front war means they have to focus on more than one enemy at a time, on two different locations. This does not seen successful considering it is hard enough to focus attention to one front alone.

in 1954 the supreme court overturned laws requiring different schools for white students and african american students whst was
quester [9]

Brown V. Board of Education was a landmark decision enacted by the US Supreme Court in 1954, that abolished segregation in public schools and understood that the 'separate but equal' principle that had governed such procedures was violating the Equal Protection Clause and therefore, unconstitutional. This clause was introduced by the 14th amendtment to the US Constitution during the Reconstruction Era, aiming to guarantee equality of rights to all US citizens.

This decision in 1954 overturned the former Plessy v. Ferguson decision from 1896, that had understood that the 'separate but equal' principle did not violate the Equal Protection clause and therefore it enabled segregation.
