2x + 5 = 2x - 5

You’d subtract 2x from both sides to get rid of it

2x + 5 = 2x -5. You get 5 = -5
-2x -2x

Since 5 is not equal to 5, there would be no solution.

Hope I helped :)

Answer:

B. No solutions

Step-by-step explanation:

If you try to simplify it, you get

2x-2x = -5-5 or

0 = -10

Which will not be true for any value of x.

If you would draw the lines y = 2x+5 and y=2x-5, you'd see two parallel lines that never intersect. The intersection would be the solution, but, it never happens.
