Find (if possible) the complement and the supplement of each angle. (if not possible, enter impossible.) (a) π 10 complement rad
blagie [28]

In this question, we have to find the complement and supplement of the given angles .

Complementary angles are those angles whose sum is 90 degree and supplementary angles are those angles whose sum is 180 degree.

So to find the complement and supplement angles, we need to subtract the given angles from pi/2 and pi respectively .

a.

\frac{ \pi}{10}
\\
complement  \ angle = \frac{ \pi}{2} - \frac{ \pi}{10}     \\                             = \frac{4 \pi}{10} = \frac{ 2 \pi}{5}
\\
Supplement  \ angle = \pi - \frac{ \pi}{10} = \frac{9 \pi}{10}

b.

\frac{9 \pi}{10}
\\
Complement \ angle = \frac{ \pi}{2} - \frac{9 \pi}{10} = \frac{-4 \pi}{10} = -\frac{2 \pi}{5}
\\
Supplement \ angle = \pi - \frac{9 \pi}{10} = \frac{ \pi}{10}

you Need to think of 2 square numbers that add up to make 80

answer:

64 + 16

this means that x  = 8 and y = 4

because of the square roots

Pls help me with number
vredina [299]

Answer:

Total people = 240

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the total number of people by 'x'.

\sf \text{Number of men =$ \dfrac{1}{4}*x$} \\

\sf \text{Number of women =$\dfrac{1}{3}x$}

Number of children = 100

When we subtract the total number of men and women from the total people 'x', we get the number of children.

\sf x - \left(\dfrac{1}{4}x+\dfrac{1}{3}x\right)= 100\\\\x - \left(\dfrac{1*3}{4*3}x+\dfrac{1*4}{3*4}x\right)=100\\\\

      x- \dfrac{4+3}{12}x=100\\\\x - \dfrac{7}{12}x   = 100\\\\ \dfrac{12}{12}x-\dfrac{7}{12}x = 100\\\\          \dfrac{5}{12}x=100\\

          \sf x = 100*\dfrac{12}{5}\\

          x = 20 * 12

          x = 240

<h3>             Total number of people = 240</h3>
