When humans first started to appear they had yet to figure out how to farm or fish. However they knew how to hunt animals using spears and such. They also were gatherers because they gathered berries. Later in the human race farming and fishing came into play. So I say A. Hunters......Gatherers.
I believe that immigrants migrated to the United States because of the abundance of resources and work opportunities. Many also fled from wars and sought safety for their families and themselves. Difficulties that immigrants from the 19th century faced ,and still face now, was the idea of Racism and also how society saw them. Many also had trouble finding places to live or people to communicate with. Many formed small groups and communities to stay together with the people of their own race and culture for safety.

The coastline of Massachusetts is rocky with sand beaches. The coastline provided by cities with a place to set up port making both cities trading posts for the colony and eventually the state. The coast also provided a vital fishing industry which brought income and food supply to Massachusetts.
