Answer: 490 sq ft

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the ratio is 5:2, you can add both those numbers to get the total number of segments.

5+2=7

After this, you can divide 98 by 7 to get the length of each segment.

98/7=14

Then, to get the length for one side, you multiply 5 by 14 because there are 5 segments that are 14 feet.

5*14=70

Then take this number and divide by half because there are 2 sides that represent the length in a rectangle.

70/2=35

Then do the same for width.

2*14=28

28/2=14

Finally multiply 14 by 35 to get the answer.

14*35=490 sq ft

Write and equation on the line that passed through (0,-1) and is perpendicular to the line y =1/9x+2
Marat540 [252]

Answer:

y=-9x-1

Step-by-step explanation:

since it is perpendicular, the slope must be the opposite reciprocal (-9x) and now we plug the coordinates in, -1=0+b, b is -1

How to factorise:

1) 9t²w - 3.

2) 4(x - 5)² + 3 (x - 5)
Nady [450]

Answer:

1)=3(3t^2w-1)

2)=(4x-17)(x-5)

Step-by-step explanation:

1) =Factor out 3

2) =in order to factor an integer we need to repeatedly divide it by the ascending sequence of primes (2,3,5)

number of times each prime divides the original integer becomes it's exponent in the final result. for this equation prime number 2 to the power of 2 =4

2^2(x - 5)² + 3 (x - 5)

we need to factor GCF ( greatest common factor)

The resulting term is a product of GCF and original expression divided by GCF. in equation the GCF = x-5

(x-5)(2^2(x-5)^2/x-5 + 3(x-5)/x-5 )

Need to reduce fraction to lowest terms. Done by dividing out factors that appear both in numerator and denominator. Common factor in equation is x-5

(x-5)(2^2(x-5)^2-1+3)

need to evaluate a power by multiplying the base by itself as many times as the exponent indicates. in equation base 2 will be multiplied by itself twice.

(x-5)(4(x-5)+3)

Expand this term by multiplying a term and an expression. Following product A(B+C)=AB+AC

in equation the resulting expression will consist of 2 terms:

first term is a product of 4 and X

Second term is a product of 4 and -5

(x-5)((4x-4*5)+3)

Numerical factors in this term have been multiplied

(x-5)((4x-20)+3)

We need to get rid of expression parentheses. If there is a negative sign in front of it , each term within expression changes sign. Otherwise expression remains unchanged. In equation there are no negative expression s.

(x-5)(4x-20+3)

Simplify = (4x-17)(x-5) or (x-5)(4x-17)

I need help with this quick question!! Extra points and I’m marking brainlist to step by step explanation
mezya [45]

Answer:

They all are solutions!

Step-by-step explanation:

3x-y=15\\6x-2y=30\\

An easy way to check this is just to substitute each pair of values into both equations:

(a) 3(6)-3=15\\6(6)-2(3)=30\\So before going any farther, we can see that A works!\\\\

(b)

3(7)-6=15\\6(7)-2(6)=30\\So B works!\\

(c)

3(8)-9=15\\6(8)-2(9)=30\\So C works!

Have a nice day!
