A given theory is the rational choice theory of crime.

What is the rational choice theory of crime?

This is the theory that is insistent on the fact that crimes are usually deliberate and well calculated.

It places the people that commit crimes as rational actors that usually take their time to arrive at decisions.

An example of the choice theory of crime is the white collar crime. This crime happens as a bank worker would deliberately take money from the account of bank customers and try to cover his track using false invoices and alerts.
