59/150

How?

w= 59/150

59/150 and -2/3 have to have the same denominators.

So, what I did was, -2/3×50= -100/150.

(Process of a new equation)

59/150-(-100/150)

[The two - signs cross each other out, making it a + ]

59/150+100/150 <- New Equation

__________________________________

59/150+100/150= 159/150

159/150= 1 9/150

9÷150=0.06

1+0.06= 1.06

How do you know if a number is rational or irrational
Kay [80]

A rational number is a number that is not repeating. So a rational number can be 5 or 2.3314. But Pi is irrational. So is 1/3 and 2/3 because in decimal form they are repeating. Which means they will go on forever which makes them irrational.

What is the equation of the line that is parallel to the line 5x + 2y = 12 and passes through the point (-2,4)?
pav-90 [236]

Answer:

y=-5/2x-1

Step-by-step explanation:

change the equation to slope intercept form

y=-5/2x+6

graph the point (-2, 4)

use the slope of the equation to find the y intercept

y intercept = -1

write equation of the parallel line using the same slope of the first line

-5/2x

and the y intercept of the new parallel line -1

y=-5/2x-1
