59/150

How?

w= 59/150

59/150 and -2/3 have to have the same denominators.

So, what I did was, -2/3×50= -100/150.

(Process of a new equation)

59/150-(-100/150)

[The two - signs cross each other out, making it a + ]

59/150+100/150 <- New Equation

__________________________________

59/150+100/150= 159/150

159/150= 1 9/150

9÷150=0.06

1+0.06= 1.06

Integrate G(x,y,z)equalsz over the parabolic cylinder yequalszsquared, 0less than or equalsxless than or equals2, 0less than
yKpoI14uk [10]

I gather you're supposed to compute the integral of G(x,y,z)=z over a surface S that is the part of the parabolic cylinder y=z^2 with 0\le x\le2 and 0\le z\le\frac{\sqrt{15}}2.

We can parameterize S by

\vec s(x,z)=x\,\vec\imath+z^2\,\vec\jmath+z\,\vec k

with the given constraints on x and z. Take the normal vector to S to be

\vec s_x\times\vec s_z=-\vec\jmath+2z\,\vec k

so that the surface element is

\mathrm dS=\|\vec s_x\times\vec s_z\|\,\mathrm dx\,\mathrm dz=\sqrt{1+4z^2}\,\mathrm dx\,\mathrm dz

Then in the integral, we have

\displaystyle\iint_Sz\,\mathrm dS=\int_0^2\int_0^{\sqrt{15}/2}z\sqrt{1+4z^2}\,\mathrm dz\,\mathrm dx=\boxed{\frac{21}2}

Answer:

$10775

Step-by-step explanation:

If 1 gallon of gas is $2.50, then the cost of 4310 gallons of gas will be:

4310 * 2.50

= $10775

(Area of Composite Figures)Help me pls.
oksian1 [2.3K]

Answer:

69 centimeters squared

Step-by-step explanation:

First, find the area of the big square = 11cm * 4cm = 44cm

Next, find the area of the leftover square = 5cm * 5cm =25cm

Add them together to get 69 centimeters squared

Hopefully this helps - let me know if you have any questions!

Ksju [112]

Answer:

a) 45 possible outcomes

b) 55 possible outcomes

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

- Total cavities = 12

- Selection = 3 parts

- Non-conforming cavities = 2

Find:

a) How many samples contain exactly 1 nonconforming part?

b) How many samples contain at least 1 nonconforming part?

Solution:

- The question asks for the use of combinations to express the outcomes for each scenario.

- For first part, we want the inspector to pick exactly one non-conforming part among 3 selected. So let us say that he has already chosen that one non conforming cavity. Now he has to make 2 more selections out of total conforming cavities = 12 - 2 = 10 conforming cavities. Hence, the total possible outcome is to chose 2 randomly from 10 conforming cavities.

                              ( Exactly 1 ) 10C2 = 45 possible outcomes

- The second part entails that at-least 1 non-conforming cavity is selected. To choose exactly 1 non conforming we calculated above. In the similar way calculate for selecting exactly 2 non-conforming cavities. The total possible outcome would be to choose from 10 conforming and we choose 1 from it:

                              ( Exactly 2 ) 10C1 = 10 possible outcomes

- Hence, for at-least 1 non conforming cavity being selected we same the above two cases calculated:

                             (At-least 1 ) =  ( Exactly 1 ) +  ( Exactly 2 )

                             (At-least 1 ) =  45 + 10 = 55 possible outcomes
