Answer:

given below

Step-by-step explanation:

let the number of gloves be y

then number of masks is y + 8

therefore a equation can be formed:

18(y) + 24(y + 8) = $612

18y+24y+192=612

42y=420

y=$10

each glove cost $10

therefore each masks cost $18

Cerrena [4.2K]

Answer:

(-4,2)

Step-by-step explanation:

First we have to find a common multiple to use to add and find the system of equations. We need to eliminate one of the variables in order to solve.

Since 5 * 3 = 15, and 3 * -5 = 15, -15x and 15x will cancel each other out. Therefore x will be eliminated.

Before:

5x + 2y = -16

3x + 7y = 2

After:

15x + 6y = -48   <----------Now we solve for y

-15x + -35y = -10

+----------------------

-29y = -58

-29      -29

y = 2

Now what we do is we choose and equation and solve for x, since it is still unknown. Any equation is fine but I will choose the second one since it has easy numbers.

3x + 7y = 2

3x + 7(2) = 2

3x + 14 = 2

   -14     -14

----------------------

3x = -12

3        3

x = -4

Therefore our final answer is (-4,2)

Round the fraction 7 4/5 to the nearest whole number
Over [174]
Im not sure if you are saying 74/5 or 7 and 4 fifths but in the case you'r saying 74/5 you would first round to see the highest number that 5 can go to without being a decimal. Which would be 70 so you would count how many times 5 can go into 70, which would be 14, so the left over is 4/5 so you would check to see if it can be simplified which it can't so the final answer is 14 and 4/5

GREYUIT [131]

Answer:  31) d     32) c

Step-by-step explanation:

31)

A = {1, 3, 5, 15}

B = {2, 3, 5, 7}

A ∪ B = {1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 15}

C = {2, 4, 6, 8}

(A ∪ B) ∩ C = {1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 15} ∩ {2, 4, 6, 8} = {2}

2 is the only number in both sets

32)

The pattern is: reflection, add symbol, ..., reflection, add symbol.

The last image shown is: add symbol

So the next image will be: reflection (flipped to the left)
