This event could've caused herbivorous and carnivorous organisms to become extinct because, as the text says, "the impact threw huge amounts of dust into the atmosphere which spread across Earth's sky, blocking the sunlight." By this, we can come to the conclusion that the impact was so great that it killed all life on Earth at that moment, as, according to the text, "dinosaurs, and many other forms of life in all regions of Earth, became extinct." Since the large object mentioned in the text crashed into the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, we can also infer that it probably caused a huge tsunami that wiped out the dinosaurs as well as other forms of life in all regions of Earth.

People who keep domestic animals are strictly liable for any harm inflicted by the animals.
rosijanka [135]

The given statement is False.

People who keep domestic animals are strictly liable for any harm inflicted by the animals.

Explanation:

People keep many type of animals as pets in their homes. Some of the common animals which are being kept as pets are:

  • Dogs
  • Parrots
  • Cats
  • Fish, etc

So if animals kept by people in their homes harm someone, or something, then the owner of the animal is not liable for it. This is because the animal's behavior is not is control of the people. People can only train them, but to always obey the owner is not in the hands of the owner. The nature of animals may not always remain the same, they can cause harm to things or people, but because they are animals, so the owner is not liable.

For example, a man has a dog as pet and his dog went in the neighbor's garden and dig the soil. In this case the owner is not liable for the damage the dog caused. No doubt the owner could help the neighbor in settling the things together but he is not liable for the damage,

Lonnie's preschool is academically focused. The children do several paper-and-pencil activities each day and are formally tested
lord [1]

The correct answer would be, Lonnie will be less advanced in vocabulary and math.

According to research on developmentally appropriate schools, Lonnie will be less advanced in vocabulary and Math.

Explanation:

Preschools are the classes in the schools where children study before the age when they go to routine school. In preschools, children do several paper and pencil activities every day and are formally tested and evaluated every Friday.

But according to the research on developmentally appropriate schools, Lonnie will be less advanced in vocabulary and math than if he had attended a developmentally appropriate preschool. In developmentally appropriate preschools, more attention is given to children in developing their vocabulary and mathematical skills than just teaching them the paper and pencil work.

So because Lonnie didn't attend the developmentally appropriate preschool, he would be less advanced in vocabulary and math.
