(5z+8)(4z+20) multiply like terms like 5z & 4z as well as multiply eight and 20 witch equals 20z+ 160

So all around is 360 degrees. The sides directly in front of each other are congruent.

(5z+8) + (4z+20) + (5z+8) + (4z+20) = 360
There is two of each one because of the congruent sides.
Combine like terms.
18z + 56 = 360
Get the variable by itself.
18z + 56 = 360
       -56      -56
18z=360
divide by 18

z = 20

For a you check the unit rate. Every 1 second mika moves, she goes 4.2 meters. From the graph, check 1 on the x axis and then check the y. The y is 3.5, so mika is faster because her unit rate is faster.

Soon-Jin sent out 48 invitations, this was 4/5 of all her invitations. How many invitations will she send out in total?
stepladder [879]
If 4/5 of the total is 48, the total can be found by dividing it by 4 and multiplying it by 5:
48/4 = 12
12*5 = 60.

If y = 8 cm, what is the area of the blue section of this shape?
Ivahew [28]

Answer:

56 cm squared

Step-by-step explanation:

First things first: Cop one triangle off the rectangle, and attach it to the other one, so the shape looks like a L

Now I can actually solve this:

The left side is 8 cm (because y = 8 cm)

The top is 10 cm

The middle is 6 cm

The inside left is 3 cm

And the very bottom is 2 cm

First, we'll solve for the newly constructed rectangle: 3 x 2. That equals 6.

Next, solve for the longer rectangle: 10 x 5. That's 50.

Now, add the two areas, and we get 56. So the area of the whole thing is 56 cm squared.

(Please keep in mind that I could be wrong, so double check it for me, thanks!)
