Answer:

A- Net is shown below

B - Surface area = 180 inch²

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given,

The shipping container consisting of two triangles, three rectangles.

A. So, the net of the container with dimensions is given below.

B. To find the surface area of the container, we will find the area of all the figures it comprises.

1. The dimensions of two of the side rectangles are 15 in. by 3.6 in.

So, Area of two rectangles = 2 × Length × Width

i.e. Area of the two rectangles = 2 × 15 × 3.6 = 108 in²

2. The dimensions of the base rectangle is 15 in. by 4 in.

So, Area of the base rectangle = Length × Width

i.e. Area of the base rectangle = 15 × 4 = 60 in²

3. The dimensions of the two given triangles are, Base = 4 inches and Height = 3 inches.

So, Area of the two triangles = 2\times \dfrac{1}{2}\times Base\times Height= Base\times height

i.e. Area of the two triangles = 4 × 3 = 12 in²

Then, the surface area of the container = 108 + 60 + 12 = 180 in²

State the degree of the polynomial below?
Bogdan [553]
The degree is 2. Notice how your are squaring the first term, or raising it to a power of 2 (p²). The degree is simply that number, the number you are raising p to.
The degree of a polynomial is also the highest power out of the entire polynomial. For example, in x³-x²+5x, the degree is 3, as it's the highest power.
