What will a heterozygote show when two alleles are codominant?
Answer: The AB heterozygote at the classical blood type locus (the ABO locus) expresses both the A and B blood type antigens and has been considered as a classical case of codominance. ... The heterozygote (βoβ) exhibits codominance because both alleles produce roughly equal amount of their respective proteins.

Hyperextension bends a joint in the opposite direction as flexion.
a. True
b. False
Anika [276]

The correct answer is true.

It is true that the hyperextension bends joint in the opposite direction as flexion.

Extension and flexion are examples of angular motions where by the two axes of joint are being brought together to each other.

At other joints they can have rotational motion which can occur, for example shoulder. Bending the elbow is an example of flexion or clenching a hand into a fist.

Extension describes movement which straightens the increase of an angle which i between the body parts. Neck and trunk has backward movement which is in the posterior direction.

For example when someone stands his or her knees they extend. The leg is moved backward when there is extension of a hip.

Why is the word translation used for protein production?
Elza [17]
During translation, a ribosome reads a sequence of mRNA (messenger RNA) in groups of 3 bases called codons. The ribosome then calls for a tRNA (transfer RNA) molecule with another group of 3 bases that correspond to the codon. This group of bases is called an anticodon. The ribosome strings the anticodons together to create an amino acid chain, and then final processing occurs to create the desired protein. In a way, the ribosome is translating the language the mRNA is using into a language that the tRNA can understand, hence why translation is used.
