Three challenges facing political parties in India are that:

  • Power rests in too few hands.
  • Sacrificing ideals for money.
  • Lack of clear ideology.

<h3>Challenges in Indian Politics </h3>
  • There is a lack of democracy within parties with power resting in the hands of a few people thereby leading to godfatherism.
  • Those with money keep gaining higher positions in these parties even if they would be bad candidates.
  • There is no clear ideology amongst the major parties which allows for members to keep switching.
