The output would change when the order of the function machine is changed

<h3>What are functions?</h3>

Functions are equations, graphs and tables that are used to represent a relation

The order of the function is given as:

  • L(x)=x^2 -1.
  • R(x) = 3(x + 2).

When the order of the function is changed, then we have:

  • R(x) = 3(x + 2).
  • L(x)=x^2 -1

From the question, the input is 3.

So, we have:

R(3) = 3(3 + 2)

R(3) = 3 \times 5

R(3) = 15

Take 15 as the input of function L(x).

So, we have:

L(15) = 15^2 - 1

L(15) = 224

Notice that the output of both functions are different.

Hence, the output would change when the order of the function machine is changed

Write the inequality!! Connie’s dog Fido weighs 35 pounds. Her vet placed Fido on a diet. What inequality can you write to find
Butoxors [25]

Answer:   \frac{35-28}{x} \leq 6

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the average number of pounds Fido must loss.

Since, the initial weight of Fido is 35 pounds.

And, After losing the weight, the new weight of Fido in pounds = 28 pounds.

Then the time taken for losing the weight

= \frac{\text{ The weight it losses}}{\text{ Average of losing weight per month}}

= \frac{35-28}{x}

According to the question,  it must lose weight within 6 months,

Thus,   \frac{35-28}{x}\leq 6

Which is the required inequality to find the average number of pounds per month.

By solving it we, get,    x\geq \frac{7}{6}

\text{Hey there!}

\frac{5}{4}+\frac{3}{4}\div-\frac{2}{3}\ -\ \frac{5}{6}

\frac{5}{8} +\frac{3}{4}=\frac{11}{8}

\frac{-2}{3}-\frac{5}{6}=\frac{-3}{2}

\text{Problem becomes:}\frac{11}{8}\div\frac{-3}{2}

\frac{11}{8}\div\frac{-3}{2}=\frac{-11}{12}
