The radius of a face-off circle on an NHL hockey<br>rink is 15 ft. What is its circumference?
8090 [49]

Answer:

94.2ft

Step-by-step explanation:

  1. The formula for finding the circumstance is the diameter times pi.
  2. We know the radius. To find the diameter, we double the radius, which would be 30. (2x15=30)
  3. Next, we multiply 30 by pi. (30x3.14). The answer is 94.2.
  4. Thus, the answer is 94.2ft.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SUPER IMPORTANT QUESTION!!!
Anettt [7]

Answer:

Distance between two cities is 193.94 miles.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have,

Madison and Wisconsin have latitudes 43.0731°N and 45.9172°N respectively.

Thus, their difference is 45.9172°N - 43.0731°N = 2.8441°

We assumed, the diameter of earth is 7917.5 miles.

So, the radius = \frac{7917.5}{2} = 3958.75 miles

So, using the cosine formula, we have,

a^{2}=b^{2}+c^{2}-2bc\cos A

i.e. a^{2}=3958.75^{2}+3958.75^{2}-2\times 3958.75\times \cos 2.8441

i.e. a^{2}=31343403.13\times 0.0012

i.e. a^{2}=37612.08

i.e. a= 193.94 miles.

Hence, the distance between two cities is 193.94 miles.
