How did the industrial revolution affect the role of women in the 19th century?
stich3 [128]
It had a huge affect on women. women's main job was to make and repair clothing but this all changed because of the revolution. Many farmers were forced off of their own land and move from the rural region to the urban center looking for work. This all caused what was once a traditional role for woman to the clothing now being made by factories because of this, woman had no choice but to look for jobs in Mills and mines. They also had to work now to help support their families at a very low wage

The correct answer is “The same group of letters in English can be pronounced in many different ways” Option A

In the English language there are 26 letters but 44 phonic sounds. There different ways to pronounce a letter, for example the a in apple is different than the a in car or ball that it also happens with the c in cat and ceiling. The Letter combinations can create new sounds like the ch, sh, and ea. What it’s more, one sound can be denoted by up to four letters like the a in apple, the ph in phone, the eau in plateau, and the eigh in eight.  And of course, what makes it even harder is that the combinations of letters aren’t necessarily pronounced in the same way for example the ch in chair versus chorus or the ea in eagle versus earth.

AT&T held a monopoly in the US and Canada, throughout most of the 20th century. AT&T was the owner of the Bell System, a network of telecommunications companies which included Western Union Telegraph. For many years the slogan of the company was "One Policy, One System, Universal Service."

However antitrust regulators were not happy with AT&T and in 1974, the United States Justice Department opened a case against the company, arguing they were violating the antitrust law. This case was settled in 1982, and the company was order to break up. Hence AT&T was divided into seven Regional Bell Operating Companies.
