If the producers would be removed in the food web, then the whole ecosystem would fall down and die.

Explanation:

The reason why producers are important in a food chain is because they provide food for the herbivore animals, and then, the carnivore animals kill and eat the herbivore ones, and whatever is left, is eaten by the decomposers. So, if we remove the root of the tree (producers), then can the tree(rest of food web) survive? The simple answer is NO.

So, Hence, the ecosystem won't be able to last long, all animals will die.
