Amelia Earhart is known as an American Aviation Pioneer, also an author writing about her flying experience. She was born in 1897 and became the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean in a solo flight for which she was awarded the United States <span>Distinguished Flying Cross.</span>

<span>Her life was full of adventures and stories from her travels which made her a successful television personality. People liked her achievements and survival stories and were inspired by the spirit and courage of a woman, many idealized her career making her a celebrity on television. </span>
