(11/4) miles=(1/3) hours

Times both sides by 3 to eliminate the 1/3 (to get 1)

(11/4)*3=
33/4

8 1/4 miles per hour.

Area of a rectangle is 42 sq inches and one side is 12 inches long what is the perimeter of the rectangle?
12345 [234]
Area if the rectangle = 42 sq. inch
Area of a rectangle = l × b
42 = 12 × b
b = 42/12 = 3.5 inch
Now, perimeter of a rectangle= 2(l + b)
= 2(12+3.5) = 2(15.5) = 31 inches

Number 13 pleaseeeeeee
aliina [53]

well i cannot help u graph but u need to get them in y=mx+b form first

2x+y=4

y=-2x+4

2y-4x=6

2y=4x+6

y=2x+3

now that the problems are in y=mx+b form, u can graph them. the "b" is your y-intercept. you need to graph this first so what ever ur be is, put a point there on the y axis. then use your slope to plant your line. slope is rise/run. so for the top problem start at your y intercept and go down 2 and to the right 1. and for the bottem problem, start at your y intercept then go up 2 and to the right 1

Why is the standard deviation preferable to the range as a measure of variation? select the correct answer below.
lesya692 [45]
I believe the answer is A, the standard deviation is preferable to the range as a measure of variation because the standard deviation takes into account all of the observations, whereas the range considers only the largest and the smallest. Range gives an overall spread of data from the lowest to the largest and thus can be influenced by anomalies, standard deviation on the other hand, takes into account the variable data/spread about the mean and allows for statistical use so inferences can be made.<span />
