The ocean currents also are expected to gradually become dominated by warm ocean currents, while the cold ones will be much less and with much lesser global influence. That will cause expansion of the tropics, mostly toward north, as toward south there is little land mass, and such expansion will totally change the landscape, the habitats, the diversity and type of species present in certain areas.
