I’m pretty sure topographic maps are used for camping, hunting, hiking and stuff like that. So this map is just used to find a place that’s suits whatever you’re doing because the map is a two-dimensional representation of the natural and human made features on Earth :)
Explanation:
When the bucket of water is at a static position , i.e. , sitting high up a ladder , then the water inside the bucket would be possessing potential energy .
Now , from the second case , i.e. , where the bucket is overturned , i.e. , water flows out of the bucket , now here , the water will have kinetic energy , as it is no more static , the water is flowing .
It mainly occurs around the fault lines of tectonic plates moving around under the Earth's crust.
