The United Nations is an intergovernmental organization which aims at  to maintaining international peace and security, developing friendly relations among nations, achieving international cooperation among nations, and be a center for harmonizing the actions of nations. It serves as the worlds conscience and the largest and most familiar international organization.

The United Nations charter is the  document upon which the  United Nations was founded. It was signed on 26 June 1945, in San Francisco, at the end of the united nations conference on International Organization, and was enforced on 24 October 1945.

The united nations charter aims at;

  • Saving succeeding generations from the scourge of war.
  • Reaffirming faith in fundamental human rights.
