The control group is the object that is untouched to see the difference. For example, you are trying to find what compost is better for plants. You have 3 plants and 2 different types of compost. you put one type in each plant except for one. The one without compost is called the control group.

A control group is a group in an experiment or study that does not receive treatment from the researchers and is then used as a benchmark to measure how the other tested subjects do.

What is the volume of 0.25 mol of ammonia gas at 1.00 atm and 273 K? (R= 0.0821 Latm/molK)What is the volume of 0.25 mol of ammo
ICE Princess25 [194]

Answer:

5.6L

Explanation:

Given parameters:

number of moles  = 0.25mol

pressure on gas  = 1atm

temperature  = 273K

Gas constant R = 0.0821Latm/molK

Unknown:

Volume of gas  = ?

Solution:

Using the ideal gas equation, we can solve this problem. The equation is a combination of the three gas laws: Boyle's law, Charles's law and Avogadro's law.

It is mathematically expressed as;

             PV = nRT

where P is the pressure

           V is the volume

          R is the gas constant

          T is the temperature

          n is the number of moles

All the parameters are in the appropriate units and we simply solve for the volume of the gas;

                1 x V = 0.25 x 0.0821 x 273

                      V  = 5.6L

mixas84 [53]

Proteins are important biomolecules. Proteins are synthesized and often packaged for secretion into other cells within an organism. A variety of organelles play a role in producing, packaging, and moving proteins.

Organelles of Eukaryotic Cells

Organelle Function

Nucleus The “brains” of the cell, the nucleus directs cell activities and contains genetic material called chromosomes made of DNA.

Mitochondria Make energy out of food

Ribosomes Make protein

Golgi Apparatus Make, process and package proteins
