Answer:

Ken runs faster.

Step-by-step explanation:

Explanations are in the attachment. Conversion factors are easier than they sound. They serve only to change units. For example, there are 12 inches in a foot, by definition. This becomes a conversion factor when written as:

(12 in/1 foot)

The really fun thing about conversion factors is that they can be inverted. So we can also write (1 foot/12 inches). The numerator and denominator are, at some level, equal to each other. They are equivalent to "1." That means we can multiply them times anything, no questions asked. You can always multiply by 1. The difference is that the units must change to maintain the original value, in different units.

So if we have a 10 foot pole, we can also say we have a (10 foot)*(12 inches/1 foot) = 120 inch pole. 10 foot and 120 inch poles are equal, just with different units.

The reverse is also true. If the kid up the block brags his pole is 120 inches, you can invert the conversion factor and bring him back down to Earth:

(120 inches)*(1 foot/12 inches) = 10 feet

----

Ken runs faster, by the way.

Igoryamba

Answer:

e.29 d.1

Step-by-step explanation:

 • x+30<60 :

we will replace with the values we have :

 • 300 that's a big number . Obviously it isn't a solution
 • 50 : 30+50 = 80>60 so no
 • 45: 30+45= 75 >60 so no
 • 30+30 = 60 we have < not ≤ so no
 • 1 yes . it's obvious

The diagram shows a metal plate in the shape of a rectangle. The rectangle has length 20 cm and width 12 cm. Two identical circl
Anna007 [38]

Answer:

A ≈ 183 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Find the area of the 2 circles

A = πr²

r = 6/2 = 3

A = π(3)²

A = 9π

Since there are 2 circles, 9π(2) = 18π

Step 2: Find area of entire rectangle

A = lw

A = 12(20)

A = 240

Step 3: Subtract the area of the circles from the area of the entire rectangle

240 - 18π

Shaded area = 183.451 cm²

And we have our answer!
