  • a1 = 1,
  • b1 = 2,

x-y = 1 – – – Eqn(ii)

On comparing with a2x+b2y+c2 = 0

  • a2 = 1,
  • b2 = -1 ,
  • c2 = -1

a1/a2 = 1/1 = 1

b1/b2 = 2/-1 = -2

c1/c2 = -7/-1 = 7

We have,

a1/a2 ≠ b1/b2 ≠ c1/c2

So, Given pair of linear equations in two variables have a unique solution.

On Subtracting eqn(ii) from eqn(i) then

x+2y = 7

x-y = 1
