Sarabeth is selling bracelets as a fundraiser for the school library. Each bracelet with blue beads sells for $4. 50. Each brace

let with red beads sells for $5. She raised a total of $130 for the library. The number of bracelets with red beads (r) that Sarabeth sold is 3 less than twice the number of bracelets with blue beads (b) sold. If the table is used to guess and check, what equation should go in the top of the third column? Number of Bracelets b r ? r = 2 b minus 3 b r = 130 4. 50 b 5 r = 130 5 b 4. 50 r = 130 9 b 5 r = 130.

Linear equation is the equation in which the power of the unknown variable is 1. The number of bracelet with blue beads is 10 and bracelet with red beads is 17

Given information-

Each bracelet with blue beads sells for $4. 50.

Each bracelet with red beads sells for $5.

Sarabeth raised a total of $130 for the library.

<h3>Linear equation</h3>

Linear equation is the equation in which the power of the unknown variable is 1

The number of bracelet with blue beads is b and the number of bracelet with red beads is r.

As the number of bracelets with red beads (r) that Sarabeth sold is 3 less than twice the number of bracelets with blue beads (b) sold. Thus,

r=2b-3

Each bracelet with blue beads sells for $4. 50 and each bracelet with red beads sells for $5. Sarabeth raised a total of $130 for the library. Thus

130=4.5b+5r

Put the value of r in the above equation,

\begin{aligned}130 &=4.5b+5(2b-3)\\130 &=4.5b +10b-15\\130+15 &=14.5b\\b&=\dfrac{145}{14.5} \\b&=10\\\end

Therefore the number of blue bracelet are 10. Thus the red bracelets are,

r=2\times10-3

r=17

Hence the number of bracelet with blue beads is 10 and bracelet with red beads is 17.

How do you know if a shape has a little less or more than a specific bond angle?
tensa zangetsu [6.8K]
Let's use tetrahedral as an example. For a typical tetrahedral shaped molecules, the bond angle between all 4 atoms is 109.5o. Now instead of having all 4 atoms, one of them is replace by a lone pair, making the shape now trigonal pyramidal. Imagine the repulsion of the lone pairs on the other 3 atoms, pushing them further away, making the bond angles between lone pairs and atoms more than 109.5o. And therefore, the angel between atoms become less.
