What can happen if the president chooses to veto a law that has been approved? The law returns to being introduced in the House

or the Senate. The veto can be overridden by a two-thirds majority vote in both houses. The law is rejected and cannot be reconsidered, it is effectively dropped. The president’s decision is scheduled for review within a year.
