Essentially, you’re solving/isolating the variable you want to be the subject. So, since we want x as the subject, we’ll solve for x.
For example. let’s take the first one. We want to make x the subject. So, we’ll solve for x.
x+h=4
Subtract h from both sides
x+h-h=4-h
The h’s cancel on the left side, so we’re left with only an h on the other side.
x=4-h
The variable x is now the subject, as the equation is arranged so that the variable x equals something.

A brick has a volume of 2,300 mL and a mass of 3.4 kg. what is the density of the brick
charle [14.2K]
The formula of a density is
p = M/V
where p is a density, M is a mass and V is a volume.
Given M = 3.4 kg and V = 2,300 mL or 2,300 cm³, therefore
p = 3.4 kg / 2,300 cm³ = 1.48 x 10⁻³ kg/cm³

A conditional relative frequency table is generated by column from a set of data. the conditional relative frequencies of the tw
goblinko [34]

The conclusion is there is likely an association between the categorical variables because the sum of the relative frequencies is 1. 0.

What is the true statement?

Categorical variables are variables that can only take on a fixed number of values. An example of categorical variables is gender. One can either be a male or a female.

The sum of the categorical variables is 1. This indicates that the two variables are negatively correlated. It means that someone would be either pick one of the variables.

Answer:

5

7.7 x 10^6 / 1.54 x 10^6

note that the 10^6 / 10^6 cancles out (gets to *1 or rather /1)

7.7 / 1.54 is exactly 5

. In the design of an electromechanical product, 12 components are to be stacked into a cylindrical casing in a manner that mini
Harlamova29_29 [7]

Answer:

(a) 479,001,600 combinations (b) 95,040 combinations (c) 3,326,400 combinations

Step-by-step explanation:

(a) In the case we have 12 different elements to stack, the possible combinations can be calculated as a premutation of 12 elements:

P = 12! = 479,001,600 combinations

(b) If seven components are identical, we have a permutation with repetition.

We have 7!=5040 combinations that are the same, so there is only one unique out of 5040 combinations. We have to divide the total possible combinations by 5040.

P = 12! / 7! = 479,001,600 / 5,040 = 95,040 combinations

(c) In the same way, if we have 3 components of Type 1 and 4 components of Type 2 (and the others all different), we have 3!*4! = 144 combinations that are the same.

P = 12!/(3!*4!) = 479,001,600 / 144 = 3,326,400 combinations
