Indeed it was the opposite. There were many conflicts and differences between Native American Tribes and English colonist that wanted to expand its territories westward.

Native American Indians did not have the concept of "owning the Earth," or "owning a property" that Europeans had. Indians respect so much Mother Nature and honored it with dances and chants. They believed those were its territories because they belonged to their ancestors, not in the sense of private property, but the land that was inhabited by their tribes.
