Using proportions, it is found that Ankita's share is of \frac{x}{4}, considering that the total rent is of x Rp.r.

  • This question is solved by <em>proportions</em>, using a rule of three.
  • Considering that there are 4 people and the rent is of x Rp.r, 4 people pay x, how much does Ankita, which is one person, pay?

The <em>rule of three</em> is:

4 people - x

1 people - a

Applying cross multiplication:

4a = x

a = \frac{x}{4}

Ankita's share is of \frac{x}{4}, considering that the total rent is of x Rp.r.

There's a couple ways to do this. These look like special triangles to me. Which should be the 30 60 90 triangle's which have the same ratios for their legs. The legs will always be square root three and one and the hypotenuse of two - I can't see what I'm typing for some reason so I will finish in a comment
