Part A: 12 times it was heads out of 20. So to find the experimental probability, you would take the number of times it landed heads and divide it by the number of times it was fliped. So the answer to Part A would be 12/20 = 3/5

Part B: Theoretical probability is when an event is completly random, the times something should happen out of so many times is the theoretical probability. For example, in a completly random world where everythin were to be random, a coin flipped would land exacfly 1/2 the time heads and 1/2 the time tails.

Hope this helps!

Answer:

the formula for finding the perimeter of a rectangle is P=2L+2W

an example of how to find the perimeter is

Explanation:

For a rectangle, its perimeter is the sum of all for sides.

The rectangle has a perimeter of 54. Find the lengths of the unknown side. That is, find S.

54=20+20+S+S

Simplify

54=40+2S

Solve for S

14=2S

S=7

3. Factory farming funk - The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently reported that confined animal feeding operations
Vikentia [17]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello!

There was a survey made in Michigan asking the residents if they were in favor of or against the creation of standards to limit pollution by CAFOs.

Using the results of the survey the student that conducted it estimated the population proportion of Michigan residents that are in favor of the creation of standards to limit pollution by CAFOs.

The calculated 95% CI is [0,7752; 0,8248]

Interpretation: With a 95% confidence level you'd expect that the interval [0,7752; 0,8248] will include the true population proportion of Michigan residents that are in favor of the creation of standards to limit pollution by CAFOs.

i.e. If you were to construct 100 confidence intervals, you'd expect 95 of them to contain the true value of the proportion of Michigan residents that are in favor of the creation of standards to limit pollution by CAFOs.

With this in mind:

Consider all of the following statements and determine which among them is incorrect

1) There is a 95% probability that the actual percent of Michigan residents in favor of pollution standards is between 77.52% and 82.48%. INCORRECT

2) Approximately 95% of MSU students favor pollution standards at a rate of 77.52% and 82.48%. INCORRECT

The confidence level is the probability that the interval will contain the true value of the parameter of interest and the bonds of the interval indicate the possible range of that parameter.

Also in 1) The parameter is not defined correctly, and in 2) the population of interest is incorrect.

3) If this study were repeated many times, we'd expect approximately 95% of future confidence intervals to contain the true rate at which Michigan residents favor the creation of pollution standards. CORRECT

4) With 95% confidence, we estimate the true rate at which Michigan residents favor the creation of pollution standards to be between 77.52% and 82.48%. CORRECT

I hope it helps!

Figure ABCD is a parallelogram. Points X and Y are placed so that BX ≅ DY and CD ⊥ XY.
alisha [4.7K]

A quadrilateral in which opposite sides are parallel is called a parallelogram. The correct option is D.

What is a parallelogram?

A quadrilateral in which opposite sides are parallel is called a parallelogram. Thus, a parallelogram is always a quadrilateral but a quadrilateral can or cannot be a parallelogram.

For a parallelogram, the opposite sides are equal and parallel to each other. We can write,

AD ≅ BC

Since BX ≅ DY, therefore, we can write,

AB = CD

AX + XB = DY + YC

XB = DY, cancelling both the sides,

AX = YC.

Also, XY is the common side.

Since all the sides are equal also the angle are equal, therefore, it can be written,

AXDY ≅ CYXB

Given the area of CYXB is 71.5 square units. Therefore,

ABCD = CYXB + AXDY

ABCD = 2(CYXB)

ABCD = 143 square units.

Hence, the correct option is D.

How do I solve this and what is the answer?
DanielleElmas [232]

Answer:

You use PEMDAS.

Step-by-step explanation:

If you dont know what that is, its the process used for long multistep equations like that : Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, then Subtraction. You solve all of those in order (if they are included in the problem). So for this you would solve one side of the inequality sign first using this order, then the other side and BAM! you've solved this problem.
