X^2-x-11=-x-7
X^2-11=-7
X^2=4

Which number line shows |-3|, |-8| ,| -2| , and |5| ?
Aleks [24]
Well, the absolute value of a number would always be positive, which means the dots on the line is going to be on the right side of 0. In the choices, the only number line that qualifies is C.

A line with a slope of 2/5 passed through the point (-2,3). Write the equations of the line in point-slope form and graph the li
DochEvi [55]

Answer:

y - 3 = (2/5)(x + 2)

Step-by-step explanation:

Start with the general point-slope form of the equation of a straight line:

y - k = m(x - h).  Now substitute -2 for h and 3 for k, and also 2/5 for m:

y - 3 = (2/5)(x + 2)

Can someone help me? I know that t=20 I just don't know how to get there
Aneli [31]
2t/5=8t/20    (both numbers multiplied by 4)

t/4=5t/20    (both numbers multiplied by 5)

3=60/20

⇒ 8t/20 - 5t/20= 60/20

3t/20=60/20

⇒3t=60

t=60:3

t=20

I hope you understand !

A classmate said that line AB and line DC are parallel based on the diagram below. Explain your classmates error.
MatroZZZ [7]

<em><u>Explanation</u></em>:

The only information we have to go on is that ∠AWZ ≅ ∠XYC. However, these are not specific kinds of angles that can prove lines parallel. If we had a pair of alternate interior angles, such as ∠AWZ and ∠WZY, we could say that the lines are parallel. However, we do not have enough information.

A shipment of 11 printers contains 2 that are defective. Find the probability that a sample of size 2, drawn from the 11, will
svet-max [94.6K]

The required probability is \frac{36}{55}

<u>Solution:</u>

Given, a shipment of 11 printers contains 2 that are defective.

We have to find the probability that a sample of size 2, drawn from the 11, will not contain a defective printer.

Now, we know that, \text { probability }=\frac{\text { favourable outcomes }}{\text { total outcomes }}

Probability for first draw to be non-defective =\frac{11-2}{11}=\frac{9}{11}

(total printers = 11; total defective printers = 2)

Probability for second draw to be non defective =\frac{10-2}{10}=\frac{8}{10}=\frac{4}{5}

(printers after first slot = 10; total defective printers = 2)

Then, total probability =\frac{9}{11} \times \frac{4}{5}=\frac{36}{55}
