Answer:

:D

Explanation:

All of your body systems have to work together to keep you healthy. Your bones and muscles work together to support and move your body. Your respiratory system takes in oxygen from the air. It also gets rid of carbon dioxide. Your digestive system absorbs water and nutrients from the food you eat.

The respiratory system connects with the muscular system by bringing nutrients, and oxygen to your muscles. The oxygen and nutrients gets to your muscles through blood. This is why when you run and breath heavier, your pulse is faster. But all systems work together to maintain homeostasis, not just respiratory and muscular.

Hope this helps!

Which description is INCORRECT for the layers of the heart and its serous membranes? Group of answer choices The parietal perica
umka21 [38]

The option: The epicardium is also considered the parietal pericardium is INCORRECT for the layers of the heart and its serous membranes.

Explanation:

The serous membrane that envelopes and protects the heart in the pericardial cavity is the pericardium. Pericardium is divided into two types – the fibrous pericardium and the serous pericardium.

The outer fibrous pericardium composed of connective tissue anchors the heart firmly to the walls, and prevents overfilling of blood.

The inner serous pericardium lies next to the fibrous pericardium, and divided into two layers – the outer parietal and the inner visceral layer.

The parietal layer is attached to the fibrous pericardium

The visceral layer is inner and is continuous with the epicardium of the heart.

Hence, the epicardium is considered the visceral pericardium and not the parietal pericardium .

How do the sympathetic and parasympathetic respond to stress?
monitta
The sympathetic system is our “flight or flight” defense to help during stressful situations. It prepares the body to either fight the threat or to flee. The parasympathetic system is what brings the bodily functions back to homeostasis after the “fight or flight” had been activated and the threat is over.
