We-haul rents a moving truck for $20.00 and $0.45 per mile. You-haul rents the same size moving truck for $1.00 per mile but wit

h no upfront charge.
Part A- Write two equations to represent the situation.
Part B- Represent the two equations on the graph below
Part C- What is the rate of change for each? What do they represent?
Part D- What do the y-intercepts of each line represent
Part E- Use the substitution method to help the renter determine when the two truck rentals will cost the same amount
Part F- Describe the situation when renting from We-haul would be a better deal than renting from You-haul

The two truck companies would cost the same amount at 36.36 miles.

Linear equation

Linear equation is in the form:

y = mx + b

where y,x are variables, m is the rate of change and b is the initial value of y.

Let y represent the total cost of rental for each truck for x mile.

From the table, for we-haul:

 • y = 0.45x + 20

For you-haul:

 • y = x

For the two trucks to cost the same:

0.45x + 20 = x

x = 36.36

The two truck companies would cost the same amount at 36.36 miles.

3. Is it possible to solve x (t ) for t, substitute it into y(t) to eliminate the parameter, t, and write it as a rectangular eq
Maslowich

Answer: Yes

Step-by-step explanation:

Though x and y can be achieved in a system of equations. The equation

x (t)=0.0411905(t^2)+(-0.164619)t+28.0114

And

y (t)=-0.024127(t^2)+(-0.591143)t+(-87.4403)

Are not system of equations but rather two different models of equations. Nevertheless

To find t in the first equation, x(t) has to be equal to zero.

When the t is substituted in the second equation, t will completely disappear. Given the value of y(t) and vice versa.

What is the height of a cone when the radius is 4 and the volume is 32
Lerok [7]

Answer:

1.9099

Step-by-step explanation:

V = (PI) * r^2 * (h/3)

32 = (PI) * (16) * (h/3)

6/PI = h

1.9099 = h
