Answer: B to show that drugs and self-deception can cause someone to ignore reality.

Ignore reality

There are many ways to escape reality, drugs being one of them. Every addiction, that is, every excess, betrays the presence of something behind it and keeps it alive. What sustains the addiction? The fear of facing reality, its own and collective. You run away from reality because you feel unable to sustain it. Without upholding the vision of truth, it is not possible to transform what is not good. Many stop at this first stage:

 • they can't stand to know
 • see and face the harsh and raw reality
 • and escape to an inner fantasy world nourished by a drug, a habit or a belief...

For anything that allows them to remain protected from sight of the real perceived as horrendous. The flight from the facts is an indication of emotional weakness, as you cannot bear the emotion of seeing the tragedy, but it is also synonymous with mental weakness, as you cannot think and process it, the tragedy. Brain and heart flee from reality and, thus, the individual remains in a state of minority. It is for the adult, that is, for the mature person, to know how to deal with What It Is. Therefore, behind every addiction there is an infantile condition structured around beliefs, rationalizations and "beliefs".

with this, we can say that the author wanted to compare how drugs and self-delusion can make someone ignore reality.

Pheromones used in reproduction are not likely to be found in organisms that only reproduce?
monitta

Pheromones used in reproduction are not likely to be found in organisms that only reproduce asexually.

The chemicals called pheromones are used to communicate between members of the same species and cause the recipient to react physically or behaviorally. Pheromones are a subset of organisms' larger class of chemicals to communicate, known as semiochemicals, from the Greek semeon, meaning signal or mark.

Animals communicate chemically constantly, with pheromones mediating more interactions than any other type of signal. The majority of pheromone research has been conducted on insects, particularly species that are considered pests.

For these, using pheromones that alter their behaviour in various ways might be employed for population control, pest management, or monitoring.
