There are different aspects to a story. The occurrences that is the best example of Wiesel's use of foreshadowing is that Mrs. Schächter's repeated demands that the Jews look at terrible fire that no one can see but her.

  • The story centered around how Jews are tormented by a lot of unbearable conditions of living.

Madame Schächter is known to be a middle-aged woman who boarded the train with her ten-year-old son. She was known to have also cracked in the oppressive treatment of the Jews.

Int the story, she was known to scream as she sees a fire in the darkness outside the car on the third day even when there was no visible fire. she was known to frightened the Jews in the car via her action.
