What is the projectile motion formula
Sergio039 [100]
A projectile is an object that is given an initial velocity, and is acted on by gravity. The path the object follows is determined by these effects (ignoring are resistance). The path is the object's trajectory. The trajectory has horizontal (x) and vertical (y) components.

chubhunter [2.5K]

Answer:

Pythagorian theorem:

7^2=13+b^2 -> b^2=49-13=36

The square root of 36 is obviously 6.

Write an expression that shows how you can multiply 9x475 using expanded form and the distributive property
riadik2000 [5.3K]
9 x (400 + 75)
3 (3) x 100 (4.75)

For example:
20,484,163 in expanded form

2 ten million and 0 one million and 4 hundred thousand and 8 ten thousand and 4 one thousand and 1 hundreds and 6 tens and 3 ones.

or

2 x 10,000,000 + 0 x 1,000,000 + 4 x 100,000 + 8 x 10,000 + 4 x 1,000 + 1 x 100 + 6 x 10 + 3 x 1

When you multiply the sides my a constant, the area multiplies by the constant squared.
ex. sides multiplied by 3, area multiplied by 9.

Solve the system of linear equations by substitution.

−2x−5y=3
3x+8y=−6
Sliva [168]
First you want to know what y or x is i chose y for this on

so the equation i'm going to use is -2x-5y=3
i want to solve for y

-2x-5y=3
+2x        +2x

-5y=2x+3
/-5   /-5  /-5
y=-2/5x+-3/5

Now that i solved for y we substitute our answer into the next equation to solve for x like this:

3x+8y=-6
3x+8(-2/5x+-3/5)=-6
3x+ -3.2x+-4.8=-6
-0.2x+-4.8=-6
          +4.8  +4.8
-0.2x=-1.2
/-0.2    /-0.2
x=6

After you know what x is you substitute it in for any of the equations that we started with. I picked 3x+8y=-6 to find y.

3x+8y=-6
3*6+8y=-6
18+8y=-6
-18      -18
8y=-24
/8     /8
y=-3

Since we know what x and y are we substitute it with any of the equations that we started with. i picked -2x-5y=3

-2*6-5*-3=3
-12- -15=3
3=3
so our solution (6,-3) works
