The strand of DNA will be composed of 40% guanine.

We know that each base have complimentary bases, so since there are 10% thymine, we can expect that there will also be 10% adenine. That leaves us with 80%. There are two bases left, guanine and cytosine, so if you divide 80% by 2, you will get 40%.
