The Grimke sisters were Quakers who were known to have a belief of equality between the races and the sexes. After moving to Pennsylvania, the sisters became active on the lecture circuit informing people about abolition but also fighting for women's rights. They brought the two ideas of the two movements together initiating the idea that all people in the US should be granted the rights of citizenship and freedom. These women were the first females to lecture publicly in addition to writing articles for abolitionist newspapers. They were able to propel the abolitionist movement forward and incorporate female reformers into the movement. Additionally they worked on beginning the feminist movement leading to the 1848 Seneca Falls Convention held by Elizabeth Cady Stanton.
1 One reason why the Middle Ages are often called the Dark Ages is because, historians don't know as much about this time. In some ways, this period of time has been lost to history. Many important records from this time have not survived.
2 Not many people knew how to read or write. It could also be because of the near total loss of classical knowledge that had been gathered by the Greeks and Romans. This was lost to Europeans, but the Muslim world managed to keep hold of it and it was party through them that classic texts and knowledge were finally passed back to Europe.
Hope this helps, God bless!
Answer:
c. The suspect was in the room where the victim was found because of the matching carpet fibers.
Explanation:
Locard's exchange principle states that the perpetrator of a crime will leave with something from a crime scene or bring something into the crime scene. These will be used as evidence to get the perpetrator.
From this question, option A is incorrect because the bullets on the victim did not match with the pistol of the suspect, hence Locards principle does not apply.
Option B is also incorrect because the car could have been driven there by someone else or could have just been parked there.
Option D is also incorrect because though the presence of similar fibre carpets on the victims appartment and on the suspect indicate the suspect was in the apartment, does not necessarily mean he commited the crime, he may have been there days earlier or he may have been there that day for other reasons.
Option C fits better.
