How do you graph (x+2) (x-4)

Hey!

I find the easiest way to do this, is by changing it into slop-intercept form: y = mx+b (or simply foil the problem, and plug it into your graphing calculator)...

(x+2)*(x-4) > I'm assuming that this is what that equation looks like....

x^2 + 2x - 4x - 8

x^2 - 2x - 8

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What I did at the bottom (the graph uploaded) is a graph I made for you, to help you out! Cause I know it gets confusing in math...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

How graphing works is m is the slope, b is the point (in this case the bottom point), and the x^2 tell you that is a parabola (or whatever the term is)...

IRINA_888 [86]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

Accuracy refers to how close measurements are to the "true" value (which is the target in this case), while precision refers to how close measurements are to each other.

Since the arrows fall away from the bullseye and are spread out I would classify this as low accuracy and low precision.

german

Answer:

Therefore, the probability is P=0.000064.

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that a  pressure control apparatus contains 3 electronic tubes. The apparatus will not work unless all tubes are operative. If the probability of failure of each tube during some interval of time is 0.04.

We calculate the  probability of failure of the apparatus.

We get:

P=0.04\cdot 0.04\cdot 0.04\\P=0.000064

Therefore, the probability is P=0.000064.

A number is 42,300 when multiplied by 10. find the product of this number and 500.
Makovka662 [10]
A number multiplied by 10 will just have a zero added onto the end of it.
For example: 4x10=40
5x10=50
10x10=100

So, in this case 4,230 would be multiplied by 10 to get 42,300.

4,230x500= 2,115,000

A 12 pack of cola costs $5.46. How much does one can of cola cost?
Jet001 [13]

Answer:

46¢

Step-by-step explanation:

Note that there are 12 cola's in all. The total cost is $5.46. Divide the total cost with the amount of cola's there is:

5.46/12 = 0.455

Round: 0.455 rounded to the nearest hundredths is $0.46 (You round to the nearest hundredths, for the smallest amount for US currency is a penny, which is 1/100 of a dollar bill).

Each cola costs $0.46
