Answer:

1.) q=p-mn

2.) -6

3.) 10

Step-by-step explanation:

1.) add q to both sides you should get q+mn=p. then subtract mn from both sides  and you should get q=p-mn.

2.) for 5c+23=c-1 you add 1 on both sides and should get 5c+24=c. Then subtract 5c from both sides and get 24=-4c. divide both sides by -4 and your answer should be -6.

3.) replace each number with their value. 4(2)^2-3. Then solve. 4(2)^2=16, then subtract 3 from 16 and get 13. For the next equation again replace each letter with the given value. 3(2)^2-3(3). 3(2)^2=12 and 3(3)= 9. Subtract 12 and 9 and your answer is 3. Now subtract the first equation answer from the second equations answer and you get 10

Write an algebraic expression for the statement. The income earned at $ 10.91 per hour for w hours....
Alja [10]
This is a "rate of pay" problem.  The amount earned is equal to the (rate of pay) times the (number of hours worked).

Let the income be represented by "i".  Then the formula is i = ($10.91/hour)*w, where w is the number of hours worked and has the unit of measurement "hours."

A water cooler holds 1,284 ounces of water. How many more 6 ounce glasses than 12-ounce glasses can be filled from the cooler
yawa3891 [41]
Answer:
- The water cooler can hold 214 of the 6-oz glasses because 1284 / 6 = 214

- The water cooler can hold 107 of the 12-oz glasses because 1284 / 12 = 107

- Because it is asking how many more glasses, you would do 214 - 107 = 107.

- You could also say that the water cooler can hold twice as many 6-oz glasses than 12-oz glasses.

Hope that helps! :)

The explicit formula for a sequence is
Alexandra [31]

Answer:

28

Step-by-step explanation:

Let n = 21, and evaluate the expression.

a_n = -2 + \dfrac{3}{2}(n - 1)

a_{21} = -2 + \dfrac{3}{2}(21 - 1)

a_{21} = -2 + \dfrac{3}{2}(20)

a_{21} = -2 + \dfrac{3}{1}(10)

a_{21} = -2 + 30

a_{21} = 28

Alona [7]

Answer:

215 sections of rope that measure 27 meters in length, and you also have 9 meters of rope left

Step-by-step explanation:

we have 5,814 meters of rope and we are told to calculate the number of 27 meters sections that we can cut:

you have to divide 5,814 meters by 27 meters = 215.333

that means that you have 215 sections of rope that measure 27 meters in length, and you also have 9 meters of rope left (0.333 x 27 = 9)
