Answer: (f-g)(x) is equivalent to f(x) - g(x)

So that would be (2x²-5) - (x²-4x-8) = 2x² - x² + 4x + 8 - 5 = x² + 4x + 3

Hope this helps.

Find the volume of the composite solid. Round your answer to the nearest tenth.
lakkis [162]
The "cylinder" has a diameter of 6, and therefore its radius is half that, or 3, thus

\bf \textit{volume of a cylinder}\\\\
V=\pi r^2 h~~
\begin{cases}
r=radius\\
h=height\\
-----\\
r=3\\
h=11
\end{cases}\implies V=\pi (3)^2(11)\implies V=99\pi
