The relationship between religious thought and the ideology of globalism is no simple thing. Globalism is a broad political ideology, referring to various patterns of thought. Though, generally, globalism refers to the idea that information, goods, people, etc should be able to transcend national borders. Religion is set on sometimes very specific beliefs, perhaps holding nationalist values. <em>Religious nationalism is the relationship of nationalism to a particular religious belief, dogma, or affiliation.</em> (Wikipedia) Most of the conflicting ideas between globalism and religious thought revolve around independence, self-identity, and cultural differences. Globalism is bound to simulate a globalized culture, while religious thought sometimes cling to specific areas around the globe.
