A color map of 15th century Italy shows that Italy served as a gateway between Europe and the Ottoman Empire. Points of interest
galben [10]

The title of the map would be: "The states that made up the Italian Nation in the fifteenth century"

One of the distinctive features of the political organization in Italy was the importance of the city-states and in particular of the republics, which in the fifteenth century some had lost their independence, but not the Renaissance cities such as Florence and Venice. At the beginning of the fifteenth century the Italian territory was very fragmented in states of varying size and importance. Social pros and cons of the transatlantic slave trade
Dmitry [639]

Some of the social pros and cons of the Transatlantic Slave trade include:

Social pros:

 • Intermingling of cultures.
 • Exposure of cultures to other cultures.

Social cons:

 • Unequal treatment of certain cultures.
 • Conflict

What were some social cons and pros of the slave trade?

The Transatlantic Slave trade led to Africans being able to interact with Europeans, Native Americans, and other African tribes they didn't know existed. This then led to an intermingling of cultures in what was one of the earliest forms of globalization.

The social cons outweighed the pros however as the intermingling led to the unequal treatment of cultures. For instance, Africans were looked down upon and their cultures were labeled as witchcraft. Conflict also arose between cultures due to the superiority complex.

In your opinion, was the threat of communism real in Guatemala? Did the United States
Illusion [34]

Answer:

As the Cold War developed and the Guatemalan government clashed with U.S. corporations on an increasing number of issues, the U.S. government grew increasingly suspicious of the Guatemalan Revolution. In addition, the Cold War predisposed the Truman administration to see the Guatemalan government as communist.
