What happens when an image is reflected over y = -x
notka56 [123]

Answer:

Well, it's pretty simple. If your reflecting something over the y axis the X will change if it's negative or positive. So if it's -x and you flip it over it becomes a positive x. If you flip it over the x-axis the Y is the one that change to a negative or positive.

So if the shape flips over the y-axis, the X points will turn negative. for example, one of the points is (1,4) it will turn to (-1,4)

What subsets of numbers does 8 2/3 belong to?
Ne4ueva [31]
By simplifying the number given which is 8 2/3, we get an improper fraction of 26/3. Also, when we try to divide 26 by 3, we get an answer of 8.6667, with 6 as a repeating number after the decimal place. Therefore, this number is an example of real and rational number. If you transform x 2 + y 2 = 25 into 4x 2 + 4y 2 = 25, which option below describes the effect of this transformation on the rad
FromTheMoon [43]

Answer

c. It divides the radius by 2.

Explanation

The general equation of a circle is

(x-h)² + (y-k)² = r²

Where (h, k) makes the coordinates of the circle and r the radius.

x² + y² = 25 For this equation,

center (0, 0)

Radius = √25 = 5

4x² + 4y² = 25 First simplify this equation

4x² + 4y² = 25 ⇒ x² + y² = 25/4

center (0, 0)

Radius = √(25/4) = 5/2

The radius has been divided by 2
