Answer: Random - in pe class teams are chosen by putting each students name in a bag and a grocery store has a box of feedback forms-ect ( boxes 1 and 4)

Non random are the other three boxes 2,3,and 5

Step-by-step explanation: they random scenarios are random because they are randomly chosen. The non random ones aren’t random because they are specifically categorized by a certain group of people to have a specific outcome. For example the 3rd box is talking about how the first ten patients are assigned to the control group that is not random. It would be random if they Drew names from a bowl but it was specifically the first 10 people. I just took the test and got 5/5 these answers are correct on Plato !!

Twenty toothpicks, each 6 cm long, form a figure consisting of six equilateral triangles and a rectangle as shown. What is the t
Roman55 [17]

The total area of the figure is 139.20 square centimeters

Areas

The area of a shape is the amount of space it occupies

<h3>Composite figure</h3>

The figure (see attachment) is a composite figure, and the total area is the sum of the areas of each shape that makes up the complete figure

The shape has 6 equilateral triangles, each of which has an area of:

A_1 = \sqrt{\frac{3s^2}{4}}

Where:

s = 6 --- the length of each toothpick

The area of the rectangle is then represented as:

A_2 =3s \times s

A_2 =3s^2

So, the total area of the figure is:

Total = 6A_1 + A_2

This gives

Total =6 \times \sqrt{\frac{3s^2}{4}} + 3s^2

Substitute 6 for s

Total =6 \times \sqrt{\frac{3(6)^2}{4}} + 3(6)^2

Total =6 \times \sqrt{27} + 108

Total =6 \times 5.20+ 108

Total =139.20

Hence, the total area of the figure is 139.20 square centimeters

A 2% decrease is written as<br><br> A 30% increase is written as
alexandr1967 [171]

Answer:

100% - 2% = 98%

Or 100% x 0.98 = 98%

100% - 30% = 70%

Or

100% x 0.7 = 70%

Answer : 0.98 & 0.7

Thus, any number/price multiplied by these decimal multipilers - automatically, will give you the decreased values of the original values.)

For example, a £300 bag is on a sale for 2% off, how much does it cost?

£300 x 0.98 = £294 (final price of the bag)

Hope this helps!

Write a cosine function that has an amplitude of 2, a midline of 5 and a period of \frac{3\pi}{4} 4 3π  .
kakasveta [241]

Given:

Amplitude = 2

Midline = 5

Period of \dfrac{3\pi}{4}.

To find:

The cosine function.

Solution:

The general cosine function is:

f(x)=A\cos(Bx+C)+D            ...(i)

Where, |A| is amplitude, \dfrac{2\pi}{B} is period, -\dfrac{C}{B} is phase shift and D is the mid line.

Period of function is \dfrac{3\pi}{4}. So,

\dfrac{3\pi}{4}=\dfrac{2\pi}{B}

B=2\pi\times \dfrac{4}{3\pi}

B=\dfrac{8}{3}

Substituting A=2,\ B=\dfrac{8}{3},\ C=0,\ D=5 in (i), we get

f(x)=2\cos(\dfrac{8}{3}x+0)+5

f(x)=2\cos(\dfrac{8}{3}x)+5

Therefore, the required cosine function is f(x)=2\cos(\dfrac{8}{3}x)+5.
