Answer: Linear function.

Step-by-step explanation:

lets find the equation for this then can figure if its linear or non linear:

lets take  ( 3 , 1 ) , ( 0 , 6 )

gradient = \frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1} = \frac{6-1}{0-3} = \frac{-5}{3}

find equation:

y - 6 = \frac{-5}{3}( x - 0 )

y = \frac{-5x}{3} + 6 ..this is the equation

now put x values and check if it matches to y value:

\frac{-5(3)}{3}+6 = 1

\frac{-5(0)}{3}+6 = 6

\frac{-5(-3)}{3}+6 = 11

\frac{-5(-6)}{3}+6=16

They all match so its a linear function.

Rewrite the following quadratic fiction in vertex form. Then, determine if it has a maximum or minimum and say what that value i
hram777 [196]
First subtract the constant to the other side to simplify it for now
y-5=-x^2+6x
Then pull out a common factor so the coefficient is x^2
y-5=-1(x^2-6x)
Next you take 1/2 of the b value (-6) and square it to find your c value
[1/2(-6)]^2=9
After that plug 9 into your equation as your c value
y-5=-1(x^2-6x+9)
Adding the C-value (9) causes the equations to become unbalanced so you need to balance them back out by minus 9 to the other side
y-14=-1(x^2-6x+9)
Now you want to simplify the equation on the right side.
y-14=-1(x-3)^2
Finally you want to add the constant back to the right side.
y=-1(x-3)^2+14 <——— vertex form

maximum=(3,14)

Which relationship describes angles 1 and 2?
MissTica
<span>1) supplementary angles => sum of angles' measure is 180°

Two lines intersecting creating four angles with the left obtuse angle labeled one and the acute angle to the right labeled two

= > angle 1 +  angle 2 = 180°

Then those two match.

2) complementary angles => sum of the two angles = 90°

Two lines intersecting in a right angle with a square indicating a right angle in quadrant one and a ray splitting quadrant two with a two labeling the left angle and one labeling the angle on the right

=> angle 2 + angle 1 = 90°

Then those two match

3) vertical angles

Two parallel horizontal lines intersected by a vertical line with a square indicating a right angle in quadrant one of the top line and a one labeling the angle in quadrant two and two labeling quadrant four of the top line

Those two matches because the angle label 1 and the angle label 2 are vertical angles as per the definittion.

4) adjacent angles

Two lines intersecting in a V shape with the left angle of one hundred fifty seven degrees and a bottom angle of X degrees

Those two match becasue the angle of 157° and the angle of X° are adjacent.
