Anthem is a tragic fiction novella by Russian-American author Ayn Rand, . The story happens at a vague future date when humankind has entered another Dark Age.

<h3>The statement which  best describes the narrator’s point of view is:</h3>

Option A

  • His use of the first-person singular pronoun "I" shows that he feels empowered and free.

Rand composes Anthem as a notice to the individuals who accept that collectivist social orders, similar to the one whose birth she saw in Russia right off the bat in the 20th century, can at any point be effective.

This portion from "Anthem" by Ayn Rand is a brief tale that shows an existence where the cooperation is taken as the ordinary lifestyle to the point that "I" is not generally utilized any longer, her in these lines a little line of independence sparkles in the community and some way or another it very well may be taken as selfishness.

Therefore, the correct answer is option A.

How does Dickens Present Scrooge's fears?
poizon [28]

Dickens uses the supernatural as a method of holding a mirror up to Scrooge who is forced to confront the error of his ways. Dickens shows that if Scrooge fails to do this it will result in him having a similar fate to Marley.

Dickens uses the ghost to emphasize that there is a chance of redemption for Scrooge “that you have yet a chance and hope of escaping my fate”. Dickens’ use of the supernatural continues throughout the story as a means of arousing nostalgia, thought, fear and action by Scrooge. All of these emotions, which Dickens shows us Scrooge is feeling, demonstrate the gradual change in Scrooge throughout the book, and as these changes take place, our thoughts and feelings towards the relationship we have with Scrooge also changes; we begin to understand him and see under his hard outer shell.

Fix any mistakes in the following passage and retype it:
satela [25.4K]

Jefferson school is a very unique school. It has its ups and downs. From staff to the youngest students, we all are our own people and are one family. Although Jefferson school is a great school, there are several changes that could be made to change our school for the better. We could fix our school by changing the dress code, not overworking students and focusing on the students themselves, not their grades.

Through the 9 years i've been here, Jefferson schools has changed their rules several times. From accepting hoodies to banning them, because mostly the students abused the use of hoodies. Other rules have been the same since the beginning of time, like not wearing black. But one problem with the rules is the dress code. The school limits the students to what they can wear and what they can’t. This causes students’ creativity to be limited too. Every student wearing the exact same thing causes dullness. Wearing uniform or having a dress code is reasonable for any school, but to the point where students can’t express themselves isn’t okay. To be fairly honest, the school is limits the students themselves. I think the school should change certain things in the dress code, like letting students wear black and or letting them wear hoodies. Little changes can make big differences, so let these little changes make a difference in our school.

One thing this school needs to focus is not overworking the students. I know this school is known for its academics but overworking students is not okay at all. Teachers tell us that they “understand our pain” everyday but still tend to give out homework. Logically, I know that getting rid of homework is almost as impossible as removing uniform, but some changes can be made, like lessening the homework by a large amount. Lessening the homework will have a great effect on your students. Some students grades will change with the decrease in homework, while other students will get an increase in sleep with is good for both their physical and mental health. We’ve all heard when a student tells the teacher they didn’t have time to do their assignment, because they were busy studying for an assignment or doing another assignment for another class. One teacher told my class that they “would rather give more than less” ,meaning that they want to give more information than they need to give us. Giving a student more work than they need is too much, isn’t it? Do you want your students overworkerd? That’s the question.

This problem is within most schools, but it’s a big problem in ours. Academics are considered very important in this school. Our school seems to only care about how well the students do. From Science Fair to The art reflections, Jefferson wants to be the best in everything. There’s no problem with that. What’s wrong is that pressure is pushed on to the students. I feel like the school thinks that if the students work hard, the school will improve a lot. But all this work, with insanely large amounts is not going to work at all. Together the school must find another way for the students to learn without too much stress or too much pressure. Hopefully we do find a way.

With its many problems, Jefferson schools is still the one and only. Although it’s not perfect, it’s doing the best it can and as a student, I will very thankful and grateful toward my school. However, I love this school and all, but it need changes such as changing the dress code, not overworking the students, and less focusing on their grades. Maybe after these changes, our school will be better than before."

How authors use characterization to support theme in literature.
musickatia [10]
Authors use characters to show the theme. The story is the outgrowth of the theme. If an author wants to write about love lasting forever, he may write a love story with two people who realize that they are going to die and find the fountain of youth, or something like that.
